On 18 May, Ambassador Kodama participated in the closing session of the "EUIA (European Union in International Affairs) 18" conference held at Academy Palace, alongside Mr. de Gucht, Former EU Trade Commissionner, Mr. Vanheukelen, EU Ambassador to the WTO, and others, and gave a presentation on the future of trade agreements. Following his presentation, Ambassador Kodama actively discussed with other panellists the roles of trade agreements beyond the abolition of customs duties and in global rule-making.
