2025 Autumn Conferment of Decoration on Foreign Nationals

On 3 November 2025, the Government of Japan announced the 2025 Autumn Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals, with Mr Reinhard Bütikofer, former Member of the European Parliament, being one of the recipients. In recognition of his contributions to strengthening relations between Japan and the EU on foreign policy, Mr Bütikofer will receive the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon.
