Ambassador Masaki's speech at the "Green Horizons, Sustainable Futures: EU and Japan Research for Climate-Prepared, Resilient Societies" symposium

On 20 October 2021, Ambassador Masaki was invited to the "Green Horizons, Sustainable Futures: EU and Japan Research for Climate-Prepared, Resilient Societies "symposium co-organised by Kobe University and Vrije Universiteit Brussel with the cooperation of University of Kent, where he gave an opening speech.
The symposium was held in a hybrid format with both in-person and online participation, and was attended by about 170 people including Japanese and European researchers from various fields, as well as European Commission representatives, mainly from DG RTD and DG CLIMA. The participants discussed possible Japan-EU research cooperation on climate change and carbon neutrality, which are timely policy topics for both Japan and Europe.
