Japan-European Union Joint Port Call and Joint Activities
Japan Ministry of Defense/Self-Defense Forces and EU Naval Force (EU NAVFOR) Somalia – Operation Atalanta paid a joint port call on Djibouti on October 15. On this occasion, as stated below, they conducted a series of joint events such as a naval parade, a video conference (Ambassador Fujiwara, Deputy Chief of the Mission, attended from the Mission of Japan to the European Union) and a ceremony to supply goods to Djibouti. From these events, both sides confirmed solid Japan-EU defense cooperation.
