　On 26 May, a Letter of Intent on strengthening cooperation in science, technology and innovation between the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan and the European Commission was signed by Mr TAKEMOTO Naokazu, Minister of State for Science and Technology Policy, and Ms Mariya Gabriel, Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth. The signing ceremony was held remotely.
