On 12 November, Ambassador Kodama was invited to the Conference "Reinventing Europe's Industrial Leadership" held by Orgalim, which represents Europe’s technology industries at EU level, where he made a presentation to open the session "Putting industrial policy to work for Europe's citizens". He shone a spotlight on how Japan's "Society 5.0" initiative seeks to unlock the potential of the synergies, zooming in on how Connected Industries can support transformation in areas like mobility, healthcare and energy, in his presentation titled "Investment for the Future - Society 5.0 -".
　He also took part in a panel discussion with other participants (Mr. Reinhard Bütikofer, MEP, Mr. Juraj Nociar, Head of Cabinet of Vice-President Šefčovič, European Commission, and Dr. Fabian Zuleeg, Chief Executive, European Policy Centre), subsequent to his presentation.
