G20 Osaka Summit successfully closed adopting Leaders' Declaration

G20 Osaka Summit, G20 Summit held in Japan for the first time, was successfully closed on 29 June, adopting the Leaders' Declaration and other documents. Representatives from G20 members including the EU, 8 guest countries and 9 international organizations gathered in G20 Osaka Summit to discuss about; promotion of free trade, their leading roles in global economic growth and addressing disparity through innovations, contribution to environmental and global issues etc. Mr Tusk, President of the Council of the European Union, and Mr Juncker, President of the European Commission, represented the EU and particpated in the discussions.

Also, on the side line of the G20 Summit on 28 June, Leaders' Sepcial Event on Digital Economy was held. Leaders of 27 coutries and international organizations, including President Juncker participated in the Event hosted by Japanese PM Abe to issue "Osaka Declaration on Digital Economy" in which those leaders declared the launch of the "Osaka Track", a process which demonstrates their commitment to promote efforts on international rule-making on digital economny, especially on data flow and electronic commerce.
