On 11 March, Deputy Head of Mission, Ambassador Kono was invited to the "EU-Japan Forum: EU and Japan in a Fluid Global Liberal Order" held by Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and co-hosted by Waseda University, where he gave a keynote speech. The conference was attended by academics and graduate students from 7 European universities and 6 Japanese universities, and senior officials from the European Commission (DG EAC). The participants discussed how we should strengthen the partnership in research and education between Japan and the EU, which share the same basic values.
