On 28 February, Ambassador Kodama attended the Japan-EU EPA seminar held by the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium (FEB) and the Belgium-Japan Association Chamber of Commerce (BJA), where he delivered a speech on the progressiveness of the Japan-EU EPA and its importance to the world, from which both Japan and the EU benefit. He also highlighted Japan's role in the G20 Summit this year, the same year as the Japan-EU EPA's entry into force. Mr Didier Reynders, Belgian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Defense and Mr Peter Berz, Acting Director of Asia and Latin America (Dir. C), DG Trade from the European Commission also made speeches .
