Ambassador Kodama welcomed the Kankeiren, Kansai Economic Federation, delegation led by Mr Matsushita, Vice-President of Kankeiren and Panasonic, to the Japanese Mission on 12 November and updated them on the economic and political situation of the EU, including the state of play of Brexit negotiations. In his briefing, Ambassador Kodama drew their attention to the fact that Europe, with some remaining challenges, is gradually recovering its confidence based on the firm economy and diminution of immigrants/refugee flow.
