On 3 October, Ambassador Kodama was invited to the Japan-EU EPA seminar held by the Walloon, Brussels, and Flemish State Export and Foreign Investment Agencies where he gave a speech on the Japanese perspective on the Japan-EU EPA and the anticipated points of strengthened Japan-EU economic relations. In response to his speech, participants raised some questions and thus discussed with Ambassador Kodama the effect of the Japan-EU EPA on Abenomics , and the prospects for the ratification of the agreement in Japan.
