Ambassador Kodama gives a speech on the Japan-EU EPA at a German workshop
On Wednesday 5 September, Ambassador Kodama gave a speech on the Japan-EU EPA during a workshop organised by the government of the State of Hessen in cooperation with a German industry association (Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V.), and a German think tank (Konrad Adenauer Stiftung). During the workshop, Ambassador Kodama spoke about the economic and strategic importance of the Japan-EU EPA.
Over the course of the workshop, discussions mainly focussed on the importance of Japan and the EU working vigorously together towards the conclusion of the SPA and EPA in the context of the challenges currently being faced by the political and economic global order. Future cooperation between the EU and Japan was also discussed.
