Japan-EU Symposium on labour-related fields
The Japan-EU Symposium took place in Brussels on 4 July. Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Health, Labour and Welfare Mr. Tataba participated in the Symposium. Representatives of social partners and other experts also took part in this symposium. Ambassador Kodama was present and gave some opening remarks.
The theme of this symposium was "The Future of Work". Japanese and EU representatives discussed subjects including "trends and drivers behind new forms of employment" and their "impact on working conditions and the labour market and possible solutions" .
The next symposium will take place in Tokyo in 2020.
