The 6th High-Level Japan-EU Development Policy Dialogue was held in Brussels on 3 July. This dialogue, which aims at strengthening cooperation between Japan and the EU in development policy, was co-chaired by Mr. Nashida, Assistant Minister and Director-General for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Mr. Manservisi, Director-General for International Cooperation and Development at the European Commission. During the dialogue, both sides exchanged views on Japan-EU cooperation based on Japan's "Open and Free Indo-Pacific Strategy" and the EU's Connectivity Strategy as well as the achievement of global goals such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Both sides also agreed to continue their cooperation in these fields.
