The 11th European Nuclear Energy Forum
Ambassador UEHARA, Deputy Chief of the Mission of Japan to the EU, was invited to participate in the 11th European Nuclear Energy Forum, held on 3rd-4th October 2016 in Bratislava, Slovakia.
Ambassador Uehara spoke about the accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, shared the current status of Fukushima, and explained what has been changed following on from the lessons learned from the accident.
The European Nuclear Energy Forum was created in 2007, in order to provide a platform to all stakeholders to discuss the opportunities and risks of nuclear energy. This was the 11th session of the Forum.
This event was attended by Mr. Robert Fico (Prime Minister of Slovakia), Mr. Bohuslav Sobotka (Prime Minister of the Czech Republic), and Mr. Maroš Šefčovič, (Vice President of the European Commission, in charge of the Energy Union)
