The 10th Annual Japan-EU Conference

The 10th Annual Conference on EU-Japan Relations, was held at the Egmont Palace , in Brussels, on the 19th and 20th of November 2007. Before an audience of about 200, gathered diplomatic corps, academics and students, Ambassador Kawamura made an Opening Keynote Address entitled "Japan-European Union: A Strategic Partnership in the Making”.

In his speech, Ambassador Kawamura congratulated the 10th Anniversary of the conference which started in 1998 and which played a major role in furthering EU-Japan relations. Furthermore, Ambassador Kawamura underlined the current EU-Japan cooperation while emphasizing future partnerships.
